Pioneers Behavior Analyst in Texas
Awarded to persons who were actively involved in behavior analysis in Texas, contributing to the development of behavior analysis in the state, active in Texas in the 1960s and 1970s when the profession was just developing. This award is not necessarily given annually. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).
Public Service Contributions to Behavior Analysis in Texas
Awarded to persons in Texas who engaged in activities effectively promoting public policy effecting behavior analysis. The efforts can involve advocacy in support of behavior analysis and behavior analysts. This award is not necessarily given annually. Recipients not required to be behavior analysts. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given.
Career Contributions to Behavior Analysis in Texas
Awarded to persons who have been engaged in behavior analysis in Texas and made notable contributions to the profession for numerous years, typically at least 20 years. The contributions might involve a variety of types of activities including: university instruction, clinical services (i.e., can include persons that predominately work as practitioners), research, activities for behavior analysis organizations. This award is not necessarily given annually. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).
Enduring Career Contributions to Behavior Analysis
Awarded to persons who over their career in behavior analysis have made major contributions to the profession recognized nationally and possibly internationally. This award typically is presented to deserving persons who are making presentations at the annual TxABA conference that are not otherwise directly connected to Texas or TxABA. It is not necessarily given annually. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).
Distinguished Services to the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis
To be presented to persons who have made important contributions to the survival or functioning of the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis over a number of years. The recipient typically will be persons involved in organizational and administrative activities for the organization (e.g., plan and managing annual conference, managing finances of the organization), doing so in an honest, effective, inclusive, and equitable manner, representing the organization in a positive way in dealing with members and the public in general. Recipients need not reside in Texas at the time the award is given. They should be in good standing in the profession when the award is presented (or, if the award be presented posthumously, were at the time of death).
